Welcome to Saugerties Junior High School!

Our building is committed to student success, fostering positive relationships, and helping students embrace their true potential. Many resources are available to our students and their families.

Students are members of an academic core team of teachers. This structure provides us with a procedure to specifically address the individual needs of each student. We encourage you to remain in regular contact with your child’s team of teachers and their guidance counselor. An open line of communication between the school and home is pivotal to every student’s success.

We have designed many courses to introduce our students to the pathways available to them as they transition to high school as well as several extracurricular clubs and events planned throughout the school year.

Parent(s) / Guardian(s) do not hesitate to become involved. Our PTSA meets the first Monday of every month and is accepting new members. Also the Junior High Building Leadership Team meets bi-monthly to address student needs and plan events for our community. If you are interested in serving on the building leadership team please call my office.
